 Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation of bidding documents for combined cycle and thermal power plants. Proposal documents preparation, Reading client’s specification and preparation of deviation/clarification documents & negotiations with client and/or client’s consultants.
- Communicating and negotiating with consortium partners, EPCs and Sub-vendors and finalization of Division of responsibility, contract interface, technical details etc
- Corresponding with all parties having stake in the project for the smooth execution of the project.
- Preparation of purchase specifications for systems and equipment in power plants such as Large Transformers, Generators, HV circuit breakers, MV/LV Switchgears, DC and UPS systems, Motors, Motor Control Centers, AC Distribution panels, etc.
- Evaluating offers from vendors and selection of vendor.
- Negotiating scope, Quality, Design conditions and other technical terms and conditions with the vendor and finalization and award of contract.
- Control and management of vendor after the award of contract through project completion.
- Carrying out Design Calculations & Basic Studies for establishing design criteria. Preparing drawings, reports and documents, necessary for the project. Preparing of documents for approval agencies.
- Preparing Single Line (one line) diagrams, Schematic drawings, equipment specification and other design documents for the customer and providing clarification/reply for the comments received from customer.
- Assisting the project mangers in all activities for controlling and executing large power projects.
- Interacting with Civil, Mechanical and I&C teams of the project to develop detailed design of electrical systems.
Qualification:
- Full time Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from reputed institutes with good academic records.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a reputed manufacturing company, EPC, Engineering or Consultancy Company that deals with the design, feasibility studies, bidding, engineering, construction & procurement activities of large combined cycle and thermal power plants.
Desirable:
- Exposure to International projects
- Experience in EPC companies
- Exposure to International codes and standards.
